Michael Stettner
President
Over 35 years of experience in Construction / Land Development / Infrastructure Design and Construction. As a Principal, Consultant, Civil Infrastructure Designer and Licensed General Contractor, Michael (Mike) Stettner has developed residential and commercial projects throughout California, Arizona and Nevada. He is President/Managing Member of La Jolla Pacific Investments and their affiliated Companies, Stettner Construction Incorporated and Evergreen Communities, Inc. Since 2010 he has directed the company in the production and sale of over 500 new single-family homes/lots throughout California under the Evergreen brand. Prior to founding LJPI, Mike had successfully developed over 12,000 residential units and over 2 Million SF of office/commercial/ retail space. He has completed numerous projects for public agencies as well as many private and publicly held developers and home builders. Tom Kollen
VP of Operations
Over 4 decades of experience in the residential construction and land development industries. As a Developer, Homebuilder, Consultant, RE Broker, General Contractor and Principal, Tom has filled key roles in the development of master planned residential, commercial and mixed-use communities throughout the Sacramento Valley region of Northern California. He has a long track record of successful developments working for public and privately held developers and homebuilders including: Evergreen Communities, Inc., Richland Planned Communities, Inc., Del Webb CA Corp., Granite-Power Development and Citation Builders-Northern Division. He has professional expertise in the areas of entitlements, site development, construction management and homebuilding. He knows land development from the ground up and has held responsible positions from Land Development Superintendent up to Land Development VP. Prior to his career in land development, Kollen was a successful private homebuilder for over a dozen years in Sacramento and built and sold over 300 homes and duplex units and entitled over 850 acres of land.
Tim Weir
Chief Financial Officer
Tim Weir is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Evergreen Communities. Having joined the company in 2015. He brings over 33 years of broad accounting experience for privately held home builders and accountancy firms, advising owners, investors and clients in tax and on all financial aspects of the business. As a licensed CPA in California for the past twenty-seven (27) years, Tim has extensive experience in managing all aspects of accounting for privately-owned home builders and land developers. Prior to joining the LJPI family of companies, Tim was CFO for JTS Communities, Inc., a privately-held regional home builder / land developer, for over eighteen (18) years. During that period of time, the company built and sold over 4,000 new up-scale homes in the Sacramento region including over 700 homes annually for two (2) years running at the peak of the strong RE market in the mid-2000s. Tim is responsible for all day-to-day accounting operations for approximately twelve (12) operating entities (SPE’s), including company-prepared financial statements, financial reporting, tax preparation & filing and streamlining of internal accounting information systems within the organization. Tim works closely with company owners, team members, investment partners and outside CPA firms to advise on operations and implement complex financial transactions. Prior to his career in home building / land development accounting, Tim was Audit Manager for Burnett & Company, LLP, CPAs in the Sacramento region for thirteen (13) years. After graduation from CSU, Sacramento, Tim started his accounting career as a Staff Accountant for Coker-Ewing Company, a Placer County home builder located in Roseville, CA.
Bettina McCauslin
New Community Director
Over 25 years of experience in RE asset management, acquisition/disposition, entitlements, governmental affairs, land development, homebuilding, property management, RE financing and investment advisory management. As Community Development Manager for Evergreen Communities, Inc. Tina McCauslin is responsible for transaction management for new acquisitions, entitlement management for discretionary approval of pipeline projects, purchasing / contracting for new home construction and support for construction, land development, marketing & sales. Tina served Evergreen as a contract consultant during 2016-2017. Prior to joining the Evergreen Team this year, Tina had a successful eleven (11) year career working for DLB & Associates (DLBA), a local privately held investment advisory service which managed over $370MM in RE assets. Tina’s responsibilities included asset valuation, buy/sell/hold strategies, transaction documentation, real estate credit financing, entitlements, commercial leasing and property management. Prior to DLBA, Tina served as Director of Real Estate Transactions/Governmental Affairs for Richland Planned Communities, Inc. (RICHLAND) for eight (8) years and was instrumental in the acquisition of over +12,000 acres of raw land for future development and the disposition of over 1,165 acres of zoned, backbone-served residential, commercial, retail and industrial properties in the greater Sacramento Metropolitan Area.
